Jiiva has signed a film with Ahmed, who hogged the limelight last year by directing 'Vamanan', a Jai-starrer.This untitled film is still in its discussion stages and is expected to hit the floors very soon with Richa Gangopadhyay as the leading lady.
"Ahmed has penned a script that impressed Jiiva and the actor has already expressed his consent to be part of the movie. Following this, the director is busy doing preliminary works to start the project," reported the source.
Richa, who has become a 'most wanted' actress in Kollywood, following her releases 'Osthi' opposite STR and 'Mayakkam Enna' with Dhanush, has been approached by Ahmed to share the screen space with Jiiva in this yet-to-be-titled film.
"Though Richa very much wants to accommodate herself in the movie, she finds it very difficult to adjust dates, as she is also busy with her Hindi project 'Shortcut' (remake of 'Thiruttu Payale'). But she is making sincere efforts to work out her call-sheet," adds the source.
