Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh is reportedly set to romance actress Ameesha Patel in his next movie, which has been tentatively titled Shortcut Romeo. This is for the first time, the Bollywood stars can be seen together on-screen in the project that is a remake of Tamil super-hit film Thiruttu Payale.Thiruttu Payale has been directed by Susi Ganesan and it is a real life experience based entertainer. The movie has witnessed huge success at Box Office with its collection crossing Rs 50 crores. Now, Susi is said to be debuting in Bollywood with the remake of the same film. Sources claim that he has roped in Neil Nitin Mukesh and Ameesha Patel for his first Bollywood project.
However, Thiruttu Payale is a thriller about love and betrayal and has shocking twists and turns. It is not a routine romantic-comedy and it has a mature touch.
Sources say that the movie Shortcut Romeo requires experienced actors. So the director has roped in Neil and Ameesha as he thinks that they have great potential to play the lead roles.
