Katrina Kaif was the initial choice to play Rajinikanth’s pair in Kochadaiyaan.The film’s director Soundarya had said that she was in talks with Katrina Kaif to get her onboard. Eventually, the offer fell on the hands of Deepika Padukone.
Talking about missing the opportunity to share the screen space with Rajinikanth, Katrina said that she has agreed to star in a film alongside Shah Rukh Khan and had given a 10-month call sheet for this film. Therefore, she was not in a position to allot the call sheet that Soundarya had asked.
