Rajinikanth's daughter Aishwarya, a dancer and playback singer, makes her directorial debut with 3. Starring her husband Dhanush and southern sensation Shruti Haasan, the film is said to be a remake of her father's superhit film Moondru Mugam.With Aishwarya at the helm, the film is produced by Dhanush's father Kasthuri Raja, with the talented Velraj as the cinematographer.
Hitting many a roadblock, the film is finally in the production stage and is slated for a January 2012 release.
